Heritage
The Global Legendary Taekwondo Headquarters (GLTKD) stands as the direct successor to the Richard Chun Taekwondo Headquarters, carrying forward over six decades of authentic Taekwondo tradition rooted in the Korea Taekwondo MooDukKwan Association.
Unlike organizations primarily aligned with the new sports Taekwondo, our roots go directly back to the Moo Duk Kwan — one of the original nine kwans of Korean martial arts. We provide schools with the authentic lineage, certifications, and curriculum they need to teach Taekwondo with integrity and historical accuracy.

The Moo Duk KwanLegacy
The Moo Duk Kwan (무덕관) — meaning "School of Martial Virtue" — is one of the original nine kwans that formed the foundation of modern Taekwondo. Founded in 1945, it emphasized not only physical technique but the cultivation of moral character and martial virtue.
Grand Master Richard Chun began his training at the Moo Duk Kwan at age 11 under Grand Master Chong Soo Hong, earning his first dan black belt by age 14. This lineage is the cornerstone of everything we teach and certify at GLTKD.
